Are Concrete Floors hard to walk on?
Concrete is probably the most popular flooring material for tough-working commercial and residential spaces like garages, basements and warehouses as well as retail stores, its durability is certainly a plus! Additionally, concrete is the most sought-after outdoor hardscape material for walkways, decks for pools outdoor patios, driveways and driveways.
Concrete is an extremely desired surface for both interior and outdoor floors due to many good reasons:
- Durability - It's not easily damaged by weather, foot traffic vehicles, tools, or chemical spills
- Clean and easy to maintain - a floor that has been sealed can withstand spills, stains bacteria and dust, so an easy sweep and a mop with a damp cloth is all you need to keep your floor in good shape
- Flexible--can be stained or resurfaced, or stamped to create beautiful individual designs that mimic natural wood, stone and brick (at only a fraction of the price that "real")
- In terms of replacement, concrete flooring lasts longer than other flooring options such as tile, carpet, linoleum , and wood
- Environmentally-friendly--in most cases a concrete subfloor already exists beneath whatever flooring is in place, so removing that material to get to the concrete surface eliminates the need for newly produced material to have a new floor
- Temperature "wise"--concrete keeps rooms cool during summer and warm during winter by retaining temperature and slowly releasing heat cooling
